Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research

  1. General Guidelines

1.1 The International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research (IJSSHR) welcomes original research papers, theoretical articles, critical reviews, and book reviews from scholars in the field of social sciences and humanities.

1.2 Manuscripts must be submitted in English and should adhere to the highest standards of academic writing and research integrity.

1.3 Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the information presented in their submissions.

1.4 Simultaneous submissions or previously published work will not be considered for publication. 1.5 Manuscripts should follow the specified formatting guidelines detailed in Section 2.

Formatting Guidelines

2.1 Manuscripts should be formatted in Microsoft Word or a compatible format, using Times New Roman font, size 12, with double spacing.

2.2 The page layout should have one-inch margins on all sides.

2.3 The title should be concise and reflect the content of the paper.

2.4 The author's name, affiliation, and email address should be provided on a separate title page to ensure blind peer review.

2.5 The abstract should be between 150 and 250 words and provide a concise summary of the paper's objectives, methodology, findings, and implications.

2.6 A maximum of five keywords should be included below the abstract, representing the main topics or themes of the paper.

2.7 The main text should be organized into sections such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, depending on the nature of the paper.

2.8 Headings and subheadings should be used to enhance readability and structure the content. 2.9 In-text citations should follow the specified citation format detailed in Section 3.

2.10 References should be listed at the end of the manuscript and follow the specified bibliographic standards detailed in Section 3.

2.11 Tables, figures, and other visuals should be labeled appropriately, numbered consecutively, and placed within the main text at the appropriate locations.

2.12 Appendices, if necessary, should be clearly labeled and included at the end of the manuscript.

Submission Process

4.1 Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online submission system on the journal's website.

4.2 The submission should include the main text, title page, and any supplementary materials such as tables, figures, or appendices.

4.3 The journal follows a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers. 4.4 Authors can expect timely feedback on the status of their submission, including notifications of acceptance, revisions, or rejections.

4.5 Upon acceptance, authors may be required to provide the final version of their manuscript in a specified format.
